On Thursday May 11th, Mr. Seibert took 4 interested students to The PA Fish and Game Commission's Somerset Lake Day event. Students had a chance to stock small channel catfish that were raised by other local school districts, learn about the rebuilding of the Somerset Lake Dam and it's fish management program, place fish habitat structures, and finish up with some afternoon canoeing.

Tech Ed students assisted The Salisbury-Elk Lick Hunting Club by stocking trout in the local streams. Thank You to Don Anderson and his crew for asking us to take part in this community service.

In late April the Tech Ed students went Geocaching in the local area. The group found, recorded, and logged in 15 geocaches. Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world.
