Salisbury-Elk Lick Elementary School participated in a School-wide positive behavior support plan. The support plan was called “Caught Being ELKcellent. Students were rewarded for showing positive behavior towards other students and staff. When students were seen displaying positive behavior by staff they received an elk cut out to place into a drawing. One winner was chosen to win a tablet, but also had to have strong attendance, good grades, and no behavior referrals during the time frame in order to be eligible to win. All students who were “Caught Being ELKcellent” were rewarded with an ice cream sandwich party. The winner of the tablet was Caleb Pickrel. The program was sponsored by Special Education Teacher Dylan Cramer and carried out by the Elementary staff.
