On April 10, 2025 both Freshman and Sophomore classes of SELSD attended an interactive assembly hosted by Somerset Trust Company. At this event students got to learn about careers in banking. These careers included lending, IT, marketing, and financial analysis. The purpose of this event was to help these future employees gain interest in careers within the banking field. Somerset Trust Company also sponsored a letter find that lead students to the word FINANICIAL, and an ice breaker game to get to know the eight different employees STC sent out to invest time in our students! This was a fun and educational event for our students. SELSD would like to send a huge thank you to Angie Rowland of Somerset Trust Company for helping coordinate this event. Lastly, a big congratulations to Logan Bittner for being the winner of the drawing; $25 Sheetz gift card donated by STC for participating in this event!

The Salisbury-Elk Lick FLBA Make-A-Wish campaign has ended and we were able to raise a little over $700.00! An amazing $525.00 came from our Elementary classrooms and another $175.00 from our SELSD faculty and staff. The winner of our classroom competition is… Mrs. Edwards’ 4th Grade, raising almost $200.00. In second place was Mrs. Miller’s 2nd Grade, raising a respectable $175.00. We are so grateful for everyone’s support and donations for our campaign. You’re making a difference.
