Our Chili Cook Off was held Friday evening, 16 pots of chili were entered. Prizes were given for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place, Mayor's Choice, and People's Choice.
Reminder: Theme Days for National School Counselor Week Feb. 5th-9th
Mrs. Shafer's Floral students drew random cartoons and were asked to plan, design, and order flowers to create a funeral arrangement for that character. They were to assume that the customer was a close friend of the cartoon. They had a budget of $30. They were to personalize the arrangement through the use of color or flowers that were meaningful to the family/friend. Students presented their arrangements in class while reading their cartoon's obituary. The cartoons were Waldo, Garfield, Barbie, and Buzz Light-Year.
Our Boys Basketball Team will be playing against Union tonight. The game will be held at Union Educational Complex in Mount Storm, WV. Jr. High starts at 6:00 followed by Varsity at 7:30.

Floral Students competed at Derry Area High School on January 17, 2024, at the first annual Western Region floral contest. There were 30+ teams to compete in the inaugural "Dinner with Dolly" themed contest.

Congratulations to Nolan Easton, who participated in PMEA District 6 Band held at Greater Johnstown High School last week! Nolan will be moving on to represent Salisbury-Elk Lick at the PMEA Region III Band Festival February 22, 23, 24 in Centre County.
