Report Cards will be sent home today with students grades K-12.
On Friday, March 20, students in grades 10–12 had an exciting opportunity to explore different careers! They played “What’s My Line” with a panel of five local employers, led by Aaron Thomas and Sharon Clapper, and even got hands-on experience exploring careers through VR headsets with Vanessa Gardner. A big thank you to everyone who made this interactive career day possible!
Last Thursday, new members were inducted into the National Honor Society.

SELSD will now be having a Remote Learning Day today. Elementary students should complete their day 2 packet in the black folder that was sent home earlier this year. High school students work will be posted in Google Classroom by 10:30am. Teachers will be available by email until 3:20pm to answer questions from students and parents.
SELSD will be operating on a two hour delay today, Tuesday, March 17th.
American Legion Auxiliary Essay Winners: Sabrina Hochard, Olivia Sauder, and Mylan Mitter (not pictured). Their essay topic this year was "Celebrating America's 250th Birthday and the Veterans Who Fought for Our Freedom". Essay winners were invited to a dinner Saturday evening, where they read their winning essays. Congratulations to the winners!

Last Friday, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Ream took students to Frostburg State University to tour their nursing department. This trip was sparked by Mr. Leone's Anatomy and Physiology classes. Students got to look at blood cells through a microscope, watched a detection of a sheep eye, getting to see the optic nerve end, and visit with many simulation mannequins throughout the nursing department.
