Freshmen Attendants:
Elizabeth Peachey: Daughter of Shannon and Urias Peachey. Elizabeth is a proud member of the Yearbook and Art Club—Go Elks! A fun fact about her is that she is really skilled at doing nail art.
Alivia Hummel: Daughter of John and Stephanie Hummel. Alivia enjoys going on cruises. She also plays volleyball for the Elks.
Sophomore Attendants:
Ali Sherle: Daughter of Jenna and Nathan Friend. Ali is Sophomore Class Treasurer and a member of Leos, Pep Club, Home Ec, Fitness Club, Student Government, and Ski Club. She plays volleyball and runs track. Ali is especially proud of her work with Salisbury Elementary students-volunteering there three times a day. She aspires to work with children after graduation. A fun fact about Ali: she loves playing volleyball.
Naiara Shaffer: Daughter of Stephen Shaffer and Marlene Alomia. Naiara was born in Lima, Peru! She’s a JV Warrior on the Salisbury Volleyball team, a basketball player, and a proud member of SELSD.
Sarah Hutzel: Daughter of Rebekah Nuckles and Shawn Hutzel. Sarah’s favorite food is non-spicy buffalo chicken dip. She plays travel volleyball with the Frostburg Bobcat Volleyball Club, along with school volleyball, basketball, and Ski Club.
Junior Attendants:
Ella Hummel:Daughter of John and Stephanie Hummel. Ella participates in FFA, Chorus, Volleyball, Travel Volleyball, Musical, and Student Government. She also plays volleyball for the Elks.
Taylor Short: Daughter of Justin and Ashley Short. Taylor can make a three-leaf clover with her tongue! She serves as Treasurer of Fitness Club, and is also part of Prom Committee and Pep Club. Athletically, she participates in volleyball, basketball, and track.
King Candidates:
Cody Cook: Son of Michael Cook and Nichole Enos. Cody plans to enter the workforce right after high school. He plays basketball, which is also one of his favorite hobbies.
Joe Emerick: Son of Dana Emerick. Joe plans to become a creative writer and share his stories with people around the world. For now, he works at the Casselman Market while finishing school. Joe has lived in Salisbury and attended SELSD his entire life—he’s a very proud Elk! His school activities include Yearbook, eSports, Student Government, and being a past class president. He has competed and won in Floral Design, been part of the first Lego League team, is among the Top 10 in his class, and has been published as a short story author.
Colin Peachey: Son of Urias and Shannon Peachey. Colin plans to start his EMS course in January through Garrett College and join the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department in December. He will serve Station 240 in Meyersdale and the surrounding communities. His school activities include the Musical, Home Ec Club, Art Club, and Chorus.
Taylor Slayton: Taylor plans to earn his RN degree from Conemaugh School of Nursing. A fun fact about Taylor is that his idol is Robin Williams, who inspires him with his outlook on life/philosophies.
Queen Candidates:
Ava Hummel: Daughter of John and Stephanie Hummel. Ava plans to attend college to further her education and athletics. She is Fitness Club Secretary/Treasurer, President of Leos Club, President of Student Government, President of Pep Club, a member of National Honor Society, FBLA, Yearbook, Home Ec Club, Chorus, Cheerleading, and Volleyball.
Karlee Bender: Daughter of Anthony and Vanessa Bender. Karlee plans to earn her Master’s in Education and become an elementary teacher. She is Class of 2025 Vice President, Secretary of Pep Club, Vice President of Student Government, Vice President of Leos Club, and a member of Home Ec, NHS, and Yearbook. She also helps with Just4Kicks. Karlee’s favorite activity is singing she loves chorus and has been a lead performer in three successful high school musicals.
Charity Jerin: Daughter of Jason and Amanda Jerin. Charity plans to work in banking after graduation while completing the Administrative Assistants Program at SELSD. She is Class Treasurer, President of FBLA and Yearbook, Treasurer of Leos Club, Vice President of Pep Club, and Treasurer of Student Government. She is also a member of Home Ec and National Honor Society.
Laila Martin: Daughter of Jonathan and Miranda Martin. Laila plans to continue her education after graduation. She serves as Senior Class President, Secretary of Leos Club, and Treasurer of Pep Club. She is also a member of Student Government, NHS, FBLA, Yearbook, and a Just4Kicks helper.
Hanna Wolf: Daughter of Stephanie Hoff and Ryan McCoy, and in loving memory of Todd Wolf. Hanna plans to enter the medical field, live independently, and create stability for herself. She is involved in cheerleading, Yearbook, Home Ec Club, Pep Club, and more.
