Students of the Month:
Rebekah Dix, a senior at Salisbury-Elk Lick, is the Vice President of her senior class, treasurer of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club, and a member of the Fitness club. Her main focus this year has been on obtaining the credits needed to take the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) assessment contracted by the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Career and Technical Education (BCTE). By taking this test she will become a certified Administrative Assistant. When she is not at school she is usually at Wildom Farm where she works. Wildom is a regenerative holistic farm that focuses on giving the animals the happiest and healthiest life possible. She is included in various community service projects outside of school. One of the larger community projects that she participated in was volunteering at a nonprofit thrift store. This store helped to raise money for local veterans and families in need to pay for everyday necessities. After she graduates Rebekah plans to take a gap year to determine her passions and decide on future school or career plans.
Grace Robertson is a senior at Salisbury-Elk Lick High School. Her parents are Jake and Stephanie Wilt and Erik and Amy Robertson. She is involved in volleyball, Home Ec club, Fitness club, and National Honors Society. She enjoys reading, cooking, baking, and hanging out with friends outside of school. She is involved in church events such as helping with the snowball dance and other events that are held at the church or in the Faith Factory. Her future plans are to enter the workforce.
