Scholarship Funds

  • Academic Alumni Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships to Johnstown High School graduates who wish to further their education in a college, university or technical school. A group of teachers, both active and retired, established this fund in 1997. Caring graduates of Johnstown High School contribute monies for this fund.
  • Mae Agnello Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a female graduating student from Greater Johnstown High School who is a hard worker, did not qualify for or receive a scholarship and plans to attend college and get a degree.
  • Merle Agnello Scholarship Fund — to assist a Greater Johnstown Senior wishing to pursue a career in photo journalism through education at UPJ.
  • American Red Cross Blood Services High School Scholarship Fund — to award youth scholarships in recognition of the outstanding support for American Red Cross Blood Services provided by regional high school student blood donors.
  • AmeriServ Financial Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a child, grandchild, niece, or nephew of an employee of AmeriServ Financial, Inc. or its affiliates, who has demonstrated academic achievement and plans to attend one of several local colleges.
  • (100) Anderson Family Scholarship Fund — to benefit a student attending Mount Aloysius College. Created as part of the 100 Families project.
  • Anonymous Fund — to provide a scholarship.
  • (100) Anonymous Family Scholarship Fund — to benefit students from Wilson Area High School attending Lafayette College. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • (100) Janet Bala Anthony Scholarship Fund — to provide a $500 scholarship to a graduating Greater Johnstown High School student intending to major in education with a concentration in English. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Apollo Award Fund — to provide scholarships to local students attending medical school who have expressed an interest in returning to the area to practice medicine.
  • Louise S. Atwell Memorial Music Scholarship Fund — to provide a variety of scholarships for music or music education majors, annually, to a senior at Meyersdale Area High School.
  • (100) Mitchell and Rebecca Azar Family Scholarship Fund — to benefit annually a graduating student of Westmont Hilltop High School with a scholarship award of $500. Students must have at least a 94% grade average and attend one of the following institutions: Washington and Jefferson College, George Washington University, West Virginia University, or Pennsylvania State University. The selected candidate will also have demonstrated leadership or community service involvement. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • (100) Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund — to benefit a Portage Area High School senior band member who has achieved honor roll status and is involved in community and church service activities. Established in memory of James H. and Helen Varner Baker and Leonard J. and Adeline Garbacz Baker. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • (100) Madame Trudy Banks Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment which will fund a scholarship to be distributed annually to a graduate of Portage Area High School who is pursuing an accredited post secondary education. This distribution shall continue annually for up to 4 consecutive years as long as the post secondary school verifies that satisfactory progress is being made towards graduation.
  • Gretchen Barbor Drama Award at IHS Fund — to provide an annual cash award to two outstanding participants in the drama program of the Indiana Area Senior High School.
  • Rick and Trudy Barefoot Fund — to support any endeavor that enhances Chestnut Ridge High School students' education.
  • (100) Paul D. Bennett and Doris Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship in the amount of 5% to be distributed annually from the Fund to a minority student. In selecting a recipient of the scholarship, the following shall be considered: a minority student attending a four year college, student must be a resident of Cambria County, PA. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Erin Michael Bosworth Scholarship Fund — to benefit the further education of a Forest Hills' student pursuing the fine arts.
  • Sergeant First Class Raymond Richard Buchan Memorial Scholarship Fund and Veterans Education Project — to provide scholarships to Bishop McCort, Conemaugh Valley, Ferndale, Greater Johnstown, Richland and Westmont Hilltop High School seniors who either have made a commitment to serve in the military or have a family member who is serving or has honorably served in the military. This scholarship was created by Richard and Jean Buchan in memory of their son, Sergeant Buchan, a Westmont graduate, who was killed in action in Iraq in July 2007.
  • Jack Buchan, Sr. Trojan Stadium Award Fund — to provide a scholarship to a Johnstown High School graduating football player who has demonstrated academic excellence, good character, sportsmanship, leadership, and financial need.
  • Camp PARC Helping Hand Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships to high school student volunteers looking to pursue higher education.
  • Wallace and Carrie Capel Scholarship Fund — The purpose of this fund shall be to support an African-American Greater Johnstown High School Graduate (GJHS) pursuing a B.S. degree in a health related field. The scholarship is to be distributed at $1,000.00 for four years.
  • Shawn Carota Football Scholarship Fund — will be used to help a senior football player from United High School with a scholarship to honor the memory and giving personality of Shawn Carota.
  • Wilfred, Jr. and Karen (Brandon) Carter Scholarship Fund — to provide for a deserving, African-American male or female student from Greater Johnstown High School with financial support during their first year and second year of college. The award will honor students who excel in the classroom, model admirable leadership, and serve their community. 
  • William Jr. and Catherine Cashaw Scholarship Fund — to provide a $1,000 scholarship for a senior student at Greater Johnstown High School.
  • A.H. Chatfield, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship awarded to a Beltie Youth Group member, a Belted Galloway member, or a child or grandchild of a Belted Galloway member furthering studies in agriculture or animal husbandry.
  • Chestnut Ridge Christian Fund — to benefit the Bedford County area through grants to human service organizations which respond to changing needs of churches, people, and non-profit groups in the area.
  • Krista Chverchko Music Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior at Richland High School who has excelled in music and the arts and is furthering their education through a two- or four-year college. Krista was passionate in her love of music and this scholarship in her memory is to best reflect that part of her life in the students who receive it.
  • Conemaugh Township Class of 1945 Arrowhead Award Scholarship — to purchase a $100.00 US Savings bond for a student at Conemaugh Township High School. The current graduating class shall choose the recipient. All-around good student; not necessarily outstanding.
  • George and Eve Cook Charitable Gift Annuity Fund — for scholarships to Somerset County students attending the Allegany College of Maryland - Somerset County Campus.
  • Aaron Coyle Scholarship Fund, as Given by the Moxham Ministerium — to provide a $500 scholarship to a senior from Greater Johnstown High School in Aaron's memory. Aaron's strength of character and purpose in the way he lived his life shall serve as a model for candidates to encourage the connection between service and faith in our community.
  • The Elizabeth Lindsey Davis Club Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship of $500 to foster higher education and promote service through education to an African American high school student from the Greater Johnstown Community who is pursuing post-secondary education from an accredited institution and attending classes in a campus setting. The award will be granted during the student's second year of school attendance.
  • Ron DiBuono-Don Gallucci Friendship Award Fund — to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Greater Johnstown High School, established by friends and family of Ron DiBuono and Don Gallucci.
  • Judy R. Drenning Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships to students within the North Star School District that have been involved in the Learning Support Program.
  • (100) Pete Duranko Scholarship Fund — to provide a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating male/female from Bishop McCort High School of outstanding character and notable athletic achievement. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Lurene M. Hartman Durna Educational Scholarship Fund — to assist two graduates of Meyersdale High School majoring in education.
  • Justin D. Ellis Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a student studying art at Castle High School, Newburg, Indiana, who may wish to continue art studies as part of his or her college education.
  • (100) Nicholas Enos Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide a 4 year $1,000 scholarship for two seniors at Ligonier Valley High School who are good students, exhibit leadership, and display respect and kindness toward others regardless of age. Students must be involved in community activities, demonstrate athletic skills, and intend to pursue higher education. As of 2011, in addition to scholarships, additional proceeds donated to this fund can also be used to support community activities. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Everett Cash Mutual Centennial Scholarship Award Fund — to provide scholarship awards to one or more eligible qualifying students attending accredited post-secondary education including, but not limited to, children and grandchildren of current employees and policy holders.
  • Joshua Faher Memorial Vocational/Trade School Scholarship Fund — to provide an annual award to persons who have shown progress in recovering from addiction.
  • Ryan Fleming Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship(s) to Richland High School student(s).
  • Friends for Life: Damian Fain & Todd Parker Scholarship Fund — For Somerset Area High School track and baseball athletes who intend to continue their education at the college or university level.
  • Marino Fulchiero Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to a student attending Bishop Carroll High School.
  • Robert A. Funari Sr. Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a senior at Portage Area School District intending to pursue a degree in the medical profession.
  • David A. Glosser Foundation Scholarship Fund for the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown — to benefit the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown scholarship fund.
  • Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center Fund — to provide an endowment, which will benefit students and recent graduates of Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center by providing scholarships for higher education and start-up business grants.
  • (100) David W. Griffith Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment which will provide a scholarship in the amount of $700 to be distributed annually from the Fund, to a student at United High School who meets certain criteria. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • (100) Leah Guarino Memorial Scholarship Fund — to benefit Mrs. Guarino's favorite charities. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • (100) Arthur Hagadus Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to assist area students in achieving their educational goals. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Doug Harnden Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide an annual scholarship of at least $500 to a graduating senior from Somerset High School who participated in the Little Eagle Football program (or the Somerset Little League, if there is not a former Little Eagle Football participant).
  • HC "Joe" Harned Scholarship Fund — to provide continuing scholarships through the Turkeyfoot Valley Historical Society and the United Community Church of God in Ursina for post secondary education at accredited institutions. Funds within the HC "Joe" Harned Scholarship Fund: Nils Thompson Memorial and Turkeyfoot Area Historical Society.
  • Dr. Clyde E. Harriger Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships in the amount of $500.00 per student, annually, for a senior boy and girl in the Richland High School graduating class. The students shall have demonstrated a strong academic aptitude in the collective sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Math and Physics) and have been matriculated at a college or university with an intended area of major in the sciences with a career goal of health sciences. The recipients, upon recommendation of a committee consisting of, at least, the head or chair of the science department and the guidance counselor will also demonstrate strong qualities of compassion and integrity. While academic excellence is a major consideration, financial need will be considered in case of multiple qualifying students.
  • (100) Eleanor and Carlton Haselrig Family Scholarship Fund — established by their children, to provide a scholarship to an outstanding senior member of the Greater Johnstown Minority Scholars Club pursuing a post-secondary education. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Joseph G. Hayes Family Trust Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for seniors from Blacklick Valley High School who plan to attend college and major in accounting and who demonstrate a strong academic performance by carrying at least a 94% grade average. They should also be active in both school functions and community activities.
  • Galen Head, Jr. Scholarship Fund — to honor the memory of Galen Head, Jr., a former trainer with the Johnstown Chiefs Hockey club, and assist other local student athletes in pursuit of higher education.
  • Mary Jo Clark Helsel Scholarship Fund for Bishop McCort — to provide tuition scholarship monies to a young woman from the Greater Johnstown area who wishes to attend Bishop McCort.
  • P. J. Helsel Scholarship Fund — to award a $1,000 scholarship to each year's Point Stadium Award winner.
  • (100) Clea and Levi Hollis Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment that will generate a scholarship to be awarded to a minority student. The Greater Johnstown Minority Scholars Club shall recommend the awardees. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Hollis Family Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment which will provide a scholarship to a deserving minority academic student who is a graduating student from a high school in Cambria or Somerset County and has been accepted to a college or university.
  • Hoover Family — to provide a $500.00 scholarship to a United High School Basketball player.
  • Erin Hostetler Scholarship Fund — to benefit students of Forest Hills High School, this fund was created in memory of Erin Hostetler, an outstanding student at Forest Hills High School.
  • In-Shore Technologies Scholarship Award Fund — to provide an annual scholarship(s) to student(s) from various high schools. The recipient shall be determined by the various high schools and while a preference for students interested in the field of technology and those attending Mount Aloysius College will be considered, it is not required for student(s) to receive the scholarship(s).
  • Job Mann Trust Fund — to provide financial assistance to worthy and needy residents of Bedford County in their educational pursuits in preparation for serving as a Minister of the Gospel (i.e., "Parish Pastor") in churches which practice evangelical Christianity.
  • Johnstown Area Music Scholarship Fund — to assist a student in the pursuit of an education in music.
  • Johnstown High School Class of 1955 Scholarship Fund — to provide a $500 scholarship for one Johnstown High School student in good academic standing who participates in community service and has unmet financial need.
  • (100) Elbert and Lillie Mae Jones Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment which will provide a scholarship to be distributed annually from the Fund, to a Conemaugh Valley High School or Greater Johnstown High School Senior. The Greater Johnstown Minority Scholars Club will distribute the scholarship. In selecting a recipient of the scholarship, the criteria shall be an African American, average or better student, and attending an accredited post-secondary school.
  • (100) James Kocher Memorial Music Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship in the amount of $500.00 annually to a Westmont Hilltop High School senior student. The student selected is to be pursuing a major or minor degree in music. Mr. Kocher's love of music inspired his family to create this endowment in 2007. Mr. Kocher conducted the Johnstown Reed Band for 25 years, was a clarinetist with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra for 20 years, music director at Franklin St. Methodist Church and choir director for the Westmont Church of the Brethren. Created as a part of the 100 Families Project.
  • H.R. and Helen Konhaus Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a graduating senior of Meyersdale Area High School who has a demonstrated financial need and a career interest in any health related field.
  • Anna C. Buffoni Koveleskie Fund — to provide a scholarship to a female senior at Central Cambria High School. Anna C. Buffoni Visual Arts Achievement Award-to provide a scholarship to a senior student at Central Cambria High School who has at least three years of art.
  • Helene and Robert Krantzler Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a scholastically worthy graduating senior of Forest Hills High School who desires to enter any accredited college or university.
  • Brian Lamar Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment, which will provide a scholarship to be distributed annually to a graduating senior from the Portage Area School District pursuing a career in the medical field.
  • Just Beyond Your Reach-Gary Lamer Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for seniors from Forest Hills High School to attend any Technical School for training post high school graduation.
  • (100) Doris Jean Lazere Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment which will provide a scholarship in the amount of $200.00 to be distributed annually from the fund, to a graduating student from Portage High School who intends to pursue a career in nursing with priority given to a student from Cassandra Borough. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Frank and Bernice Lucente Community Service Scholarship Fund — to provide a four-year scholarship to the college of choice of a Meyersdale Area High School graduate.
  • Mina and Barney Lucas Fund — to provide scholerships to fund the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
  • Marlon Mackel Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for local AAABA league players.
  • Walter R. Mahler Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide college scholarship(s) for deserving seniors at Shade-Central City High School, Cairnbrook, PA. This scholarship fund is in loving memory of Walter R. Mahler a longtime resident of Shade Township and graduate of Shade High School class of 1943.
  • Dr. Vito E. Mantini Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment that will grant a $1,000.00 scholarship to a student graduating from Conemaugh Township Area High School and planning to enter a health or health related field, established in 2007 in memory of Dr. Vito E. Mantini.
  • Philip A. Marcinek Scholarship Fund — will provide two scholarships to two seniors graduating from Windber Area High School.
  • Andrew and Erma Margo Scholarship Award Fund — to provide a scholarship to a graduate of the Portage Area School District who has been accepted into an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Leona Marian Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships to Conemaugh Township Area High School valedictorians.
  • Candida Martella and Sylvia Martella Webster Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for qualified Forest Hills High School Graduate(s) wanting to pursue a major in Elementary Education at one of the following five designated colleges or universities: Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Lock Haven University, Mount Aloysius College at Cresson, Saint Francis College at Loretto, and University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. These funds will be available to students in dire financial needs and who have demonstrated a serious desire to attend college by maintaining a grade point average of 3.0 or better.
  • Clifford Maust Scholarship Award — This award is voted on by the Salisbury-Elk Lick School Fund Committee. It is awarded to a graduating senior who has a GPA of 3.2 or higher. The recipient must be accepted into a post-secondary program. Candidates for the scholarship must write a short, one-page, essay describing how they demonstrated leadership and write a short, one-page, essay describing what they have done to improve the community. The committee will take the candidates' financial need into consideration. 
  • Linda McQuaide Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for senior students at Richland High School. These students shall show leadership and good citizenship qualities. The recipient of these awards will be well-rounded, and have shown balanced achievements in academics, athletics and the arts as well as a pleasant, positive attitude and mature social skills.
  • (100) Dr. John Melleky Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a student at Greater Johnstown High School who resides in the Oakland, Walnut Grove, or Stonycreek Township area, created by his daughter Susan Eastman. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Frederick K. Metzler Business Technology Scholarship Fund — to award a deserving senior at Richland Township High School a scholarship in pursuit of a business technology (or like) degree of learning.
  • Meyersdale Area Education Association Staff Memorial Scholarship Fund — to benefit graduates that will continue their education in a college, university or technical school. This scholarship is in memory of all staff members who gave their time and talent to educate the children of the Meyersdale Area School District.
  • Jim Miller Scholarship Fund — to provide an annual scholarship award to the graduating Valedictorian(s) at Bishop McCort High School pursuing a post-secondary education, established by Crown Investments Trust in memory of Jim Miller, a former Guidance Counselor at Bishop McCort High School.
  • Walter F. Mitchell, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior at Greater Johnstown High School, Richland Area High School or Turkeyfoot Area High School who intends to pursue a career in electrical engineering and who meets certain criteria.
  • Melissa O'Kinsky Scholarship Fund — to assist students from Somerset Area High School enrolled in the School of Education at Slippery Rock University.
  • Pine Grill Open Scholarship Fund This fund was started to provide a golf scholarship to a deserving senior from Somerset High School.
  • William I. Plank Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a Bedford-area undergraduate college student in the field of environmental or conservation studies.
  • (100) Dr. Joseph Donald Plummer & Mrs. Marianne Plummer Scholarship Fund — to provide an endowment, which will provide a scholarship to a Bishop McCort High School Senior who will be attending Seton Hill University. Students to be considered should exhibit good values, strong community service, and display a caring and compassionate nature, established by daughter, Nancy L. Heider in memory of her beloved parents. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Lucas Popernack Quecreek Mine Rescue Foundation Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for graduating seniors from Somerset Area High School who best reflect the amazing personality traits that made Lucas the unique person and citizen that he was.
  • The Gloria (Madorma) Quigley Math Scholarship Fund — to provide a $1,000 scholarship for a student who achieves in math at Ligonier Valley High School.
  • REACH Service Award at St. Michael Catholic Church Fund — to benefit the REACH (Religious Education and Christian Helping) Service Award at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael, PA benefits youth members of the St. Michael Catholic Church Parish, St. Michael, who have achieved a certain number of community service hours.
  • James W. Reese Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Forest Hills High School with at least a 3.0 GPA who will be attending UPJ for Computer Science Technology.
  • Dr. Harry M. Rhoads Scholarship Fund — to benefit an under-funded, graduating senior at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown who will be attending an accredited medical school.
  • Homer D. Rice Sportsmanship Award Fund — to provide a scholarship award to one male and one female student-athlete graduating from Greater Johnstown High School who exemplify the values Homer Rice ascribed to in his athletic endeavors, such as good sportsmanship.
  • Riordan Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide tuition assistance to an Indiana University of Pennsylvania student who exhibits leadership and displays respect and kindness towards others. Recipients must be involved in social activities, demonstrate athletic skills, and intend to continue their education.
  • Ronald S. Rivera Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior of Greater Johnstown High School intending to major in Business.
  • David J. Rizzo Scholarship Fund — to provide an annual scholarship award to students graduating from Windber Area High School pursuing a post-secondary education who have shown achievement in academics, athletics or extracurricular activity.
  • (100) David A. Rizzo Soccer Sportsperson of the Year Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to a soccer player who exemplifies true sportsmanship. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Kiersten Alexandra Robertson Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for senior students at Richland High School. This scholarship was started in memory of our daughter and sister, Kiersten Robertson. Kiersten was an outstanding senior at Richland High School and hoped to become a Registered Nurse. She was an Honor Roll student who was Treasurer of SADD and the Spanish Club. She danced for 13 years, played viola, piano, and was involved in musicals and the church choir which showed her passion for music. She had a strong belief in God and Christ. This scholarship allows Kiersten to be honored and remembered.
  • Mae A. Russell Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for Shade-Central City School District seniors.
  • Norman and Theresa Salem Scholarship Endowment Fund — to honor Norman and Theresa Salem’s commitment to family, friends, and community by providing scholarships to assist Bishop McCort students.
  • Shade Township Class of 1946 Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarship(s) to a graduate(s) of Shade Central City High School who intends to pursue higher education in an accredited college or university.
  • (100) Fred and Nancy Shaffer Scholarship Fund, in memory of Mark A. Shaffer — to provide two scholarships per year to Somerset Area High School students, with priority given to those interested in pursuing pharmacy degrees and engineering degrees and demonstrating financial need. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Tyler Shaffer Scholarship Fund — to support any endeavor in Somerset County that benefits organizations, schools, including scholarships, and events that characterize the fun-loving and giving spirit of our son Tyler.
  • Carl and Anna Sherbine Elementary Education Scholarship Fund — to provide an annual scholarship to benefit Forest Hills High School students continuing studies in elementary education.
  • Shuster Family Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to graduating students from Everett Area High School pursuing a post-secondary education who have shown achievement in outstanding citizenship, leadership qualities, and community involvement, in honor of Bud Shuster's 70th Birthday. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Marie and Frank Slabe Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship to graduating students of Johnstown High School who will attend a four year liberal arts undergraduate college/university with the intention of attaining a bachelor of arts degree.
  • Hazel Jones Slater Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships, financial aid, and assistance for qualified and needy nursing students attending Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, Pennsylvania. In the event that Mount Aloysius College School of Nursing is discontinued, then the gifts from this Fund shall go to qualified needy nursing students attending other nursing schools in the State of Pennsylvania as selected by the Foundation.
  • Somerset County School-to-Work Scholarship Program — to provide students the opportunity to prepare to enter a highly skilled, technically oriented career field. Instituted by Somerset Area Vocational Technical School.
  • Somerset County Technology Center Licensed Practical Nursing Scholarship Fund — to provide scholerships to fund the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
  • St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church — to provide scholarships for the children and grandchildren of members of the congregation of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church as of June 3, 2007 as established by the Church Council.

  • Steph and Kris Scholarship Fund — to help further the education of a Shade-Central City Senior planning to attend a post-secondary trade school, college, or university, this fund is in memory of Steph Roman and Kris Zubek.
  • Jeff Strittmatter Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship for a Bishop Carroll High School senior who will further studies at St. Francis College.
  • Kevin A. Stultz Scholarship Fund — to serve Kevin's legacy of community service and dedication by providing scholarship funds to bedford county residents interested in public service in the EMS field (First Responders, EMT, and Paramedic).
  • Loretta Stumpo Scholarship Fund — to benefit a student from Greater Johnstown High School.
  • (100) Swanson Family Award Fund — to provide an annual award to upper-level, non-traditional University of Pittsburgh of Johnstown students majoring in education, established by Community Foundation board member Rev. Dr. Robert and his wife, Caryl Swanson. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.
  • Steve and Hazel Terebus Fund — to benefit a graduating senior from Conemaugh Township High School excelling in compassionate concern of others and community service, initiated in 1994.
  • Steve J. Terebus Fund — to provide a scholarship to benefit a senior from Greater Johnstown High School.
  • TMR (Tuscano-Maher Roofing) Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide one or more annual scholarships for a qualifying child or children. This fund is in remembrance of all deceased persons who were instrumental in the success of Tuscano-Maher Roofing, Inc. including but not limited to Sam Brown, Mike Showalter, Bob Derek, Jeff Yohman, Dewey Yingling, and Paul V. Maher.
  • Joseph L. and Georgia J. Uklayer UPJ Scholarship Fund — to assist worthy yet needy students of UPJ in math or engineering degrees.
  • United School District Scholarship Fund — to benefit graduates pursuing education at a college, university, vocational/technical school or apprenticeship program.
  • Anthony F. and Ann R. Urbas Education Fund — to provide a tuition scholarship annually to a student graduating from Bishop McCort High School.
  • Sunnehanna/Eddie Vetock Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for Sunnehanna Country Club employees, caddies, or children of Sunnehanna Country Club employees. The scholarship should be for post secondary education. To be eligible, the employee or caddie must have been employed for at least two years.
  • Brad Wess Scholarship Fund — to award scholarships to Senior Hockey Players choosing from applications from the eight High Schools in Cambria County and/or a Scholarship for a Senior from Forest Hills High School.
  • Westmont High School, Class of 1972 — to provide scholarships for students at Westmont Hilltop High School.
  • Westmont Hilltop High School Class of 1960 Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Westmont Hilltop High School who are in financial need and who meet the criteria set forth by the Fund's committee.
  • Westmont/Upper Yoder Class of 1947 Scholarship Fund — to provide a scholarship annually to a graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School.
  • George F. Wheeling Athletic and Educational Trust Fund — to provide scholarships to student athletes. Gifts designated in memory of Michael L. Elswick provide additional support to this fund.
  • The Rev. Robert G. Whisler Memorial Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for members of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church who intend to continue their education.
  • Windber Area School District Estate of Helen Solomon Scholarship Fund to provide an annual $5,000 scholarship to a senior from Windber Area High School as chosen by the Superintendent.
  • Windber Rambler Lettermen's Club Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships to one boy and one girl athlete as determined by the Windber Rambler Lettermen's Club Scholarship Committee.
  • Nunzio S. and Flora D. Yocca Scholarship Fund — to provide scholarships for graduating students from Windber Area High School majoring in education, founded by their daughters and sons-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Day and Joseph and Susan Rupe.
  • Zahorchak Education-Economic Endowment Fund — to provide dual enrollment scholarships to eligible students.
